Cocoa Therapy was founded in 2017 by Vicky McDonald. I am a South Wales based chocolatier with a passion for chocolate.

I initially kicked off my love of chocolate with a course by a UK chocolate master and UK Bake Off Crème de la Crème winner. This led to enrolling on and graduating from a chocolatier course by Canadian chocolate school Ecole Chocolat before travelling to Las Vegas to complete another hands on course with world renowned chocolatier Melissa Coppel. In 2018 I ventured Stateside again to complete a panning course with Nicolas Botomisy at Ecole Valrhona in Brooklyn, NYC. Let's also not forget the months and months (and months!) of trial and error, blood, sweat, tears and chocolate smears too. 

Each and every bar and bonbon is hand painted, hand piped and crafted from the finest ingredients. I use predominantly Callebaut couverture chocolate (with ever increasing splatterings of Valrhona and Cacao Barry thrown in for good measure) and all fillings, centres and inclusions are sourced from the very best suppliers or made in-house using quality ingredients.
